As a user I would like to have this default conffile in /etc/default. I did what Mattia thought would happen: looked into /etc/init.d/cpufrequtils then went to /etc/default to tweek some settings (change the init.d file is just not a good practice) and was surprised not to find a default file with the config vars ready to be customized.
I would have to copy/paste the good vars from the init.d script... And yet, the file wouldn't be removed on package purge, letting an orphan conffile in /etc. Sounds like a quick'n'dirty hack. And it's much more surprising knowing that the mechanisms to handle such a user modified conffile exist. > it's less than 10min of work. if you > don't want to do that, let me know and i'll prepare a patch. Come on! If it's trivial as you say so Daniel, please propose something. Thanks! Fabien C. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
