I've found my SNMP daemon is also logging a blank line after each entry:
eg.
Feb 21 13:28:51 monitor snmpd[1310]: Connection from UDP:
[10.128.0.1]:37645->[10.128.0.6]
Feb 21 13:28:51 monitor snmpd[1310]: Connection from UDP:
[10.128.0.1]:37645->[10.128.0.6]
Feb 21 13:28:51 monitor snmpd[1310]: Connection from UDP:
[10.128.0.1]:37645->[10.128.0.6]
The old version would have logged it as follows instead:
Feb 21 13:28:51 monitor snmpd[1310]: Connection from UDP:
[10.128.0.1]:37645->[10.128.0.6]
Feb 21 13:28:51 monitor snmpd[1310]: Connection from UDP:
[10.128.0.1]:37645->[10.128.0.6]
Feb 21 13:28:51 monitor snmpd[1310]: Connection from UDP:
[10.128.0.1]:37645->[10.128.0.6]
This is the cause of bug #614318 against the logcheck package.
