Sorry i couldn't test up to now - the PC with this newer Soundblaster is not mine. ;-)

files in here descibe options and else for the modules loaded from
udev. The sond mosules in your case are snd-ca0106, snd-hda-intel,
snd-usb-audio, where snd-usb-audio can be a usb-webcam as well....
This makes it not easy to handle usb sound cards. I can't test your
configuration as a usb card is not handy for me yet... Is it true
that your ca0106 card is an usb one?

No it's an PCI card.
You can see it in the lspci output.

The PC's where i use the onboard sound are USB-devices.
