As per: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=611840 There is a mismatch in between paraview 3.8.1 as uploaded on debian and from original source. I am planning on re-uploading immediately the correct paraview 3.8.1 parackage once it has been removed from unstable.
