Oh yeah, another thing to consider with the existing method: /proc/net/wireless link quality of 10/100 will still report 50% in wavelan; qual 1/100 (if not dropped by then) will get you 0%; and lucky it is reported as int so you don't have to worry about qual 0.1/100 reporting negative quality %.
