Hi,

HAL has been deprecated and declared dead upstream so we want to
get rid of it eventually in Debian [1].

mic2 has a Recommends: hal dependency.

Looking through the code it seems to be used in tools/mic-image-writer

Given that apparently it can also use udisks, which is the modern
replacement for handling storage devices on Linux nowadays, and
apparently DBus_udisk() is tried first (line 446) and DBus_hal() is only the
fallback, it seems reasonable to replace the

Recommends: hal with Recommends: udisks.

Please do note though that udisks is currently only available for Linux.

Regards,
Michael
