Package: dovecot-common Version: 0.99.20050712-2 Severity: normal Upon installing dovecot the permissions for the SSL key get changed. I have the following permssions to allow non-root daemons to read it:
-rw-r----- 1 root adm 2359 Apr 2 19:35 /etc/ssl/key.pem And it gets changed to rw------- without any notice. This resulted in my Jabber server suddenly being down, for unknown reasons. In my opinion the package should either ask, or leave the ssl key alone altogether. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (600, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.11.11 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages dovecot-common depends on: ii adduser 3.63 Add and remove users and groups ii libc6 2.3.5-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libldap2 2.1.30-11 OpenLDAP libraries ii libmysqlclient12 4.0.24-10 mysql database client library ii libpam-runtime 0.76-22 Runtime support for the PAM librar ii libpam0g 0.76-22 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libpq4 8.0.3-13 PostgreSQL C client library ii libssl0.9.7 0.9.7g-1 SSL shared libraries ii openssl 0.9.7g-1 Secure Socket Layer (SSL) binary a ii zlib1g 1:1.2.2-4 compression library - runtime dovecot-common recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
