With a Linksys USB200M adapter there are symptoms as described by Ken. These messages appear on the console sporadically. [ *.*] * LocLinksys200M: Failed to enable hardware MII access [ *.*] * LocLinksys200M: Failed to enable software MII access The USB200M is widely used and also uses the asix driver.
