*** Please type your report below this line *** Dear maintainer, with the newest upload of python-serial, the symlinks from /usr/lib/pythonX.X/* to /usr/shared/pyshared/pyserial are missing. This probably has something to do with switching from dh_pycentral to dh_python2. The result is that the package is unusable unless manually corrected. *** /tmp/tmpnKol0e In Ubuntu, the attached patch was applied to achieve the following: * debian/rules - don't delete contents of /usr/lib/* for python-serial (LP: #715766) Thanks for considering the patch. - -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers natty-updates APT policy: (500, 'natty-updates'), (500, 'natty-security'), (500, 'natty') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.38-5-generic (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAk13UH4ACgkQ06FgkPZwicTvUwCfe+BAXtLP0qPFNKF+QQkeFpFN KxAAoMOFhi/pDc/UvfORXY0yKB3/Cd66 =LGMY -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
