Package: lpr
Version: 1:2005.05.01

In its postinst script, lpr creates /etc/printcap if it is missing. It
does not, however, remove it on purge. This leaves cruft on the
filesystem.

Removal of /etc/printcap may be difficult, I realize, because it is
shared between various printer queue implementations, and it would not
do to remove a file that another package has carefully crafted and still
uses. However, removing it if it hasn't changed from the example file
should at least happen, I think.

(I wouldn't worry about removing a file that the sysadmin has edited.
It's a configuration file and purging is all about removing
configuration files.)
