tags 617317 +patch thanks I was working together with Johannes on this bug and we found that it is already fixed upstream by [1].
Applying this patch on the current squeeze version (5.0.4-3.2) fixes the mentioned crash for us. It would be nice to see this fixed in Squeeze as it might affect other users too. If you want I can send additional information how I fixed it, but basically it is just applying the path from [1] and rebuilding the package.
