Hi Jaime, is this problem still reproducible with an up-to-date squeeze or sid system? In that case I'd be interested in the output of NetworkManager --no-daemon --log-level=debug You need to run that command as root and stop the running NetworkManager via /etc/init.d/network-manager stop.
