It seems that not everyone agrees that the PHP scripts are the ones to
use:

I don't care what the scripts are called or which language you use.
Please, just provide 1 working pair of scripts, implement redirection
from the deprecated URLs, and let other people (like the PTS
maintainers) know what the right URLs are.
