Package: apt
Version: 0.8.13
Severity: minor

Hi,

The --dry-run should probably be skipped when running a command that doesn't
need to lock the database and therefore doesn't root. E.g.

$ apt-get --dry-run source foo
NOTE: This is only a simulation!
      apt-get needs root privileges for real execution.
      Keep also in mind that locking is deactivated,
      so don't depend on the relevance to the real current situation!
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Need to get 58.2 kB of source archives.
Fetch source foo

Cheers,
