Just a "me too": the original squeeze release's X11 was working great on my IBM X40 lappy. But first reboot after the upgrade to 6.0.1 packages (and presumably linux 2.6.32-31)... no mouse pointer visible (although mouse working apart from that). Working round it for now by doing the Fn-F4 hibernate-resume thing which seems to bring it back reliably.
