It doesn't do any good to report a bug against autoconf, saying that it doesn't regenerate a build system, without saying what build system it fails to regenerate. (Would you report a bug against GCC, saying that it miscompiles code, without saying what code it miscompiles? For the same reason, it would not be helpful.)
