Package: sun-java6-plugin Version: 6.24-1~squeeze1 Severity: normal
I have the exact same problem. Searching the web, I found a solution that resolves the issue, although I don't really understand it's implications. In /etc/sysctl.d/bindv6only.conf you have to change this line: net.ipv6.bindv6only=1 To this: net.ipv6.bindv6only=0 And run: invoke-rc.d procps restart Source: http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/topic/6119/java-trouble-in-iceweasel/ Hth, T -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.1 APT prefers stable APT policy: (750, 'stable'), (650, 'testing'), (500, 'squeeze-updates'), (500, 'oldstable'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages sun-java6-plugin depends on: ii chromium-br 6.0.472.63~r59945-5+squeeze4 Chromium browser ii iceape-brow 2.0.11-4 Iceape Navigator (Internet browser ii iceweasel 3.5.16-6 Web browser based on Firefox ii libasound2 1.0.23-2.1 shared library for ALSA applicatio ii libx11-6 2:1.3.3-4 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 2:1.1.2-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxi6 2:1.3-6 X11 Input extension library ii libxtst6 2:1.1.0-3 X11 Testing -- Record extension li ii sun-java6-b 6.24-1~squeeze1 Sun Java(TM) Runtime Environment ( sun-java6-plugin recommends no packages. sun-java6-plugin suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
