Package: luajit
Version: 2.0.0~beta4+dfsg-1
Severity: wishlist

Please symlink /usr/bin/luajit to the current version (as with other
interpreters, where the preferred version generally gets an
unversioned name).

Separately, please make luajit an /etc/alternative for Lua 5.1; after
all, it is a strict superset. I just used it to run GNU Zile, which is
more than 6kLoC lines of Lua, and uses both my Lua stdlib (pure Lua)
and various C bindings (luaposix, lcurses, luabitop). This all Just
Worked(TM).
