Package: swaks Version: 20100211.0-3 Severity: normal Hello. There is a debian-specific patch in the swaks package related to the time zone created by the get_date_string() subroutine. The patch was created in response to bug #566013, and was originally meant to be applied against upstream version 20061116.0.
The problem is that the bug introduced its own set of rounding errors. As the person who reported to me said, "I've never seen it work right". Further, the original problem the patch was meant to address (reported in 566013) was fixed in swaks upstream release 20100211.0-3, and so the patch is no longer needed. Please remove the patch to the get_date_time() function in the debian packages of swaks 20100211.0 and newer. I'm not a Debian user so I'm just piecing a lot of this together from http://packages.debian.org/sid/swaks and independent reports. Please let me know if I'm wrong or if I can provide any more information. Thanks --John -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
