Package: sysstat
Version: 10.0.0-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

i discovered iostat behaviour of sorting devices
in strange manner.
Regardless how i will arange devices on commandline,
i always get same order in output.
Unfortunetly particular sorting behaviour is not
a one I particulary like. And it is is not
alphabetical/lexicographical sorting. Actually i guess it
is sorting based on major/minor numbers of devices,
but I do not know if it really is so.

I would like to make iostat output devices in the same order
user put them on command line, if it they were provided.

Additional options could be provided later, for example to
sort by columns like Device name, await, tps, r/s, and others.

This will greatly improve diagnostic for systems with lots of
hard drives.

Regards,
Witek
