Package: ncpfs
Version: 2.2.6-1
Severity: important

Dear Petr,

I have recompiled the kernel using the following option set to yes
'CONFIG_NCPFS_SMALLDOS'. it worked for me. i have compiled the same for 7
debian linux servers. Thanks a lot for quick response and a better solution.

Yep. You have only DOS namespace on the volume. If you have control
over server, issue 'add nfs namespace to volume data' on server's
console. If you do not have control over server, ...

... you'll have to recompile your kernel. If you never did it, ask some
friend to do that for you. If you are using Debian stock kernel, and
you do not want to build kernel yourself, simplest thing to do might be
reassigining this bug to the kernel package, asking for ncp kernel
module being build with 'CONFIG_NCPFS_SMALLDOS' option set.

www.kernel.org provides links on which you could find details about
kernel building. But as incorrectly built kernel may render your box
unusable, you should think twice before installing your own kernel.
