Package: ntop Version: 3:4.0.3+dfsg1-3 Severity: important $ netstat --tcp -l Active Internet connections (only servers) Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State tcp 0 0 *:ssh *:* LISTEN tcp 0 0 localhost:ipp *:* LISTEN tcp 0 0 *:3000 *:* LISTEN tcp 0 0 localhost:smtp *:* LISTEN tcp6 0 0 [::]:ssh [::]:* LISTEN tcp6 0 0 ip6-localhost:ipp [::]:* LISTEN tcp6 0 0 ip6-localhost:smtp [::]:* LISTEN
As you can see, ntop is not listening on a tcp6 interface such [::]:3000 or [::1]:3000 (localhost). IPv6 support has been a release goal for the past two releases, and ntop is not supporting IPv6. Please listen on both IPv4 and IPv6 interfaces by default.
