Hi Mattias. This might even conflict the Debian Policy if strictly speaking,... Nevertheless, I think it's bad idea to use an init script to control whether the cron script is executed or not. IMHO the right way (and what most other packages do) would be to source a /etc/default/fetch-crl file in the cron script and use a variable from there.
