Brent, changing it to "grave" seems a little extreme, its sending some excess email, its not like it "rm -Rf /". Grave is for really toxic behavior not just logging too many errors.
To mask the problem by blocking the sending of errors, merely modify the file /etc/cron.d/munin and change the MAILTO=root to MAILTO="" I haven't gotten an error email since then.
