Package: pcmanfm Version: 0.9.8-1 Severity: normal
My default text editor is a .desktop file that launches 'vim' with the key Terminal=true set in the file. This application so configured works fine as default opener for text formats everywhere -- from nautilus or from other launchers that use the normal file associations. When a text file is opened in pcmanfm using this application (the default application in my case), pcmanfm simply opens a terminal. It fails to run the actual 'vim' or other program inside the terminal, instead a shell runs inside the terminal (like in a new terminal window). The configured terminal in gnome is gnome-terminal as usual (gnome-terminal -x) -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (800, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-powerpc Locale: LANG=sv_SE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=sv_SE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages pcmanfm depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-11 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libcairo2 1.10.2-6 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libfm-gtk0 0.1.14-2 file management support - GTK+ GUI ii libfm0 0.1.14-2 file management support - core lib ii libglib2.0-0 2.28.4-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.4-3 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libpango1.0-0 1.28.3-6 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libx11-6 2:1.4.3-1 X11 client-side library Versions of packages pcmanfm recommends: ii gnome-icon-theme 2.28.0-1 GNOME Desktop icon theme ii gvfs-backends 1.6.4-3 userspace virtual filesystem - bac ii gvfs-fuse 1.6.4-3 userspace virtual filesystem - fus ii lxde-icon-theme 0.0.1+svn20091206-2 LXDE Standard icon theme pcmanfm suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
