Hi,
Kaffeine version 0.7.1 is out. And as Zack said, he is out for a couple
of
weeks. To aid him, I tried to compile this version, using the diff file from
version 0.7, downloaded from Zack's personal web space.
Without modifications, original source code + diff file doesn't build
with
dpkg-buildpackage -uc -us -rfakeroot. The changes I made were:
- Remove kubuntu_03_gstreamer_stop.diff patch, as these changes are now
in
the new version.
- Modify kubuntu_04_locate_wizard_stamp.diff patch, to match the
version
number.
- And the most important: comment out DEB_CONFIGURE_EXTRA_FLAGS +=
--with-xorg --with-xinit-workaround in the rules file. With these flags (one
of them, or all, I don't know), Kaffeine _crashes_ as described in this bug
report.
You can download and test these _preliminary and totally unofficial
packages_
from http://ayuda-es.net/~chaki. Source is uploaded, to aid testing. And
please, remember, don't fire bug reports against this packages; mail me any
suggestions, instead.
