Wolfgang, Thanks for this report. As you point out the issue is the split off of the libdigikam & libdigikam-dev packages, which hasn't been done well and make the package unsuitable for release. The issue is that digikam appears to make shared libraries, but in fact they are nothing of the sort. The approach we will proably adopt is to revert the split and put everthing back into the digikam main package, as we have done with digikam-0.8.0-beta1 in experimental.
