Do you still experience this old bug where "pam password sync = yes" wasn't working when smbd is started under a local where PAm messages are localized. It was reported against a now fairly old version of samba and I'd like to check with you if it still happens. (also adding a "found" so that this bug doesn't appear in "From other branch" section in bugs lists. It was probably also affecting the genuine lenny version. --
