AFAIR this is something that regressed around 0.14.0 (sorry for not
filing it before).
I think one the file transfer proxies you use does strange things.
As a temporary workarround, you can disable file transfer proxies in
account preferences, General tab
Yes, that's it. Thanks for the workaround, will try to find the
offending server, both are ejabberd, one is 2.1.6 and the other one is
an ancient 1.x.
