Hi,

the initramfs hooks uses

        mkdir -p /dev/.initramfs/varrun
        pidof mount.ntfs >> /dev/.initramfs/varrun/sendsigs.omit
        pidof mount.ntfs-3g >> /dev/.initramfs/varrun/sendsigs.omit

We want to get rid of /dev/.XXX directories for wheezy and use the new /run
directory for that [1].
As a result, initramfs-tools >= 0.99 will use a tmpfs on /run which is
automatically transitioned to the real root.

initscripts >= 2.88dsf-13.3 supports the /run directory, in particular
/run/sendsigs.omit.d/

I'm wondering, how /dev/.initramfs/varrun/sendsigs.omit is supposed to
work. The initscripts package in Debian never supported that file.

Is that a Ubuntuism?

Cheers,
Michael
