Hi, python-poppler will fail to build with Poppler > 0.15. The reason is the changed poppler_page_get_text() in the poppler-glib frontend to only accept one parameter, adding a new function for what poppler_page_get_text() did previously; see also the poppler commit[1]. There is a patch available in an upstream bug report[2], with notes. As we are planning a Poppler 0.16 transition soon, could you please upload to experimental a version which can compile with Poppler 0.16.x (which you can find currently in experimental)? Unfortunately, the fix is _not_ compatible with the current poppler 0.12.x, you cannot upload to unstable right now.
