it seems that's the issue is not coming from the sane-utils package. For the Debian update, I changed the computer :
- With the new computer : It own an ATI USB Controler and I thing the bug is comming from the kernel or Bios. I tried sane-utils from a live CD (squeeze) to be sure my computer setup is right, and same issue. - With the old computer : I tried with a live CD (same squeeze) and there is no problem. The old computer as a VIA USB Controler. So I don't know if this request can be transfered to the right team, but the sane-utils package is not the right package.
