I do not want to help by sponsoring the package, as a general principle: Too often I have found that packages maintained solely by "outsiders" and included through the sponsorship mechanism is badly maintained. I would, however, love to help by working together with you as a team! It might seem similar to you, but makes a world of difference to me: Please consider joining the Debian Multimedia Developers team and have the mpd-sima package maintained there - I am sure you will find that we are a nice gang to hang out with! ;-) More info here: http://wiki.debian.org/DebianMultimedia > The default action is to launch mpd-sima as a daemon (init script, > running under special user mpd-sima). Not sure what you mean by "default action" - does thatpending packaging by default create that user and register a sysV daemon script? ...or do you simply mean that this is the intended design of the tool - but still requires the local user to setup manually?
