Firefox does a segmentation fault when accessing a webpage with flash content. I tested this with: http://www.thebeloved.com http://www.drecksack.biz http://www.starwars.com The same package show up nicely with Konqueror 3.4.2. I am using: ii flashplugin-nonfree 7.0.25-5 Macromedia Flash Player plugin installer I reinstalled that plugin today. Since I first thought it didn't work with Konqueror either (but this was probably only a delay in loading the flash anim). I came across the error after KDE 3.4.1 (alioth) -> KDE 3.4.2 (sid) update today. But it may well be that the problem is there since a longer time cause I do not view webpages with flash content that often. But I remember that this used to work some month ago when I accessed http://www.thebeloved.com for the first time and Mozilla Firefox nicely played the background music while Konqueror showed the flash stuff but didn't play the background music This bug may be related to #320849 and #255860 (probably also #315890, but I did not check whether there is flash content on www.raumfahrer.net), but as Konqueror indeed does display the flash pages I mentioned I am a bit skeptical whether this is just a bug in the flash plugin as Andrew Schultz says in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=297556 which is mentioned in Debian bug #320849. I am using a mixed etch/sid system and I will try Mozilla Firefox 1.0.6-4 from sid. I report whether it works with that version.
