Ah, good point. We need to make this more dynamic. It ended up being sarge as I tested it on sarge, and the sarge debootstrap was unable to install an etch and sid chroot. When it make it into etch, we can switch it to etch, and perhaps use that as the default in sid? Or perhaps switch to cdebootstrap and see if that is better at installing newer releases on sarge installations.
