Package: libfuse2
Version: 2.8.4-1.3
Severity: important

Hi!

After upgrading FUSE from version 2.8.4-1.3 to 2.8.5-3 , all FUSE-based
filesystems I tried stopped working (i.e. ntfs-3g, sshfs, or zfs).

Example given:

root@valentin-laptop:~# mount -v /dev/sda3 /mnt/sda3 ; echo RESULT=$?
mount: you didn't specify a filesystem type for /dev/sda3
       I will try type ntfs
RESULT=21
root@valentin-laptop:~#

Reverting to 2.8.4-1.1 or 2.8.4-1.3 and all these flesystems function again.

This bug is symptomatically very the same as the bug #737457 I reported
after Ubuntu.
( see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fuse/+bug/737457 )

So, I'm obliged to stay with the old version of FUSE.

Hope my report will prove useful.

Sincerely,
Valentin
