You forgot to provide a test case, but I found the file here: http://ftp44.njstar.net/univie/zid/antivirus/CommonUpdater.old/ I can reproduce the described behaviour. The same thing happens with unzip610a (beta release), but unzip610b seems to work. I'll forward this upstream.
