Package: fp-compiler Version: 2.4.0-2 Severity: normal
When installing fp-compiler in a minimal system, it doesn't work, because binutils is missing in the dependency info. This was already reported here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=265265 many years ago, but the bug still persists. I just installed a minimal system based on debian-6.0.1a-i386-netinst and the bug is still there. For a sample see ubuntu bug 790583. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.1 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages fp-compiler depends on: ii fp-units-rtl 2.4.0-2 Free Pascal - Runtime Library fp-compiler recommends no packages.
