  Happens here too.  It seems to be related to RRDtool 1.2, downgrading
 librrds-perl to version 1.0 (available in Sarge, can be installed
 without any dependency breakage on a Sid system), seems to be a
 decent workaround.

  I'll investigate further (and notify upstream).

  Agreed.  I don't want a package containing this bug to be part of any
 released Debian version, so I'm raising it even more.
