If a sources entry contains an unknown host, no error is reported:

[ 6:21PM] hamish@noddy:~ $ sudo aptdcon -c
[+] 100% Successful                               

[ 6:33PM] hamish@noddy:~ $ tail /etc/apt/sources.list
[...]
deb http://unknown/ main non-free

However if you refer to hosts that are unreachable, or packages files or
components aren't there, errors are reported correctly.
