ball:
1) builds Python extension modules using highest available Python
version (which is already wrong: please use the default one);
2) install such modules into Python 2.6 directory.
Python 2.6 and 2.7 are not binary-compatible, so this could break
horribly if one has python2.7-dev installed in the build environment, or
after we switch default Python version to 2.7.
