Quoting Filipus Klutiero ([EMAIL PROTECTED]):

package "is broken or not fully installed" is translated to French as
"est cassé ou partiellement installé".
I believe this would translate to "is broken or partially installed",
indicating that a non-broken package has to be partially installed,
while the message appears for a rc package too.
A correct translation would be "est cassé ou n'est pas complètement
installé".

"partiellement" *means* "pas complètement" and is thus a different way
to say the same thing.

OK, I admit I was tempted to get the dictionary before submitting this. According to my 1993 LE PETIT ROBERT, Partiellement : D'une manière partielle; en partie (cf. À demi). C'est partiellement exact. Contr. Entièrement.

The definition of "partiel" is longer, but I can't see how it could mean "nullement". I understand that "partiellement" implies "pas complètement", but I don't think it means that. However, if you're confident it does, this bug can be closed.
