If that error was more than a local problem, we would have noticed it by now. :-) Please paste the output of the failing dpkg-shlibdeps run with "-v -v". And also paste the output of this: $ ls -al /etc/ld.so.conf* $ cat /etc/ld.so.conf $ cat /etc/ld.so.conf.d/x86_64-linux-gnu.conf > This is just one example, but I have other packages that are failing > to build with the same error.
