Hi John,
As an alternative, you can use 'imap-ptp.monitor' provided by the new
'mon-contrib' package.
Syntax for your mon.cf:
monitor imap-ptp.monitor -u <USER> -p <PASS> -P <PORT> -m INBOX <HOST>
AFAIK, 'imap.monitor' will not be changed because that's seems to be the
desired behaviour.
Please, let me know if this helps, so I can close this bug.
