I assume you have turned off installing of recommends? Windows codepage (iso-8859-1) support is in the package libmono-i18n-west2.0-cil which is a recommends of libmono-corlib2.0-cil. With this package installed you should be able to open these files. Nevertheless the app should not crash. It should tell the user about the missing library, and for this I've forwarded the bug upstream. I'll add a dependency until we get a fix from upstream though. Cheers, Iain
