On a fresh install of Debian 'squeeze' the install creates symlinks to /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/python-support.pth /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/python-support.pth /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/python-support.pth only the last of which points to a file that exists on a fresh install.
