I didn't want to leave this unattended. I still use fdm. But I have completely lost track of this bug. I did see a couple of locking issues once in a while but I just did the manual remove and re-run steps. I will surely respond back to this bug report in case I see the problem back again.
IIRC Part of the problem also is that this bug is not that easily reproducible.
