I am working on a new version of kexec-tools package this week. I had to rebuild my sid machine. I am planning to close a few more bugs besides this one with the new package. If you can wait until, say mid next week for the new package, I would suggest canceling NMU, otherwise let the NMU go through and I will incorporate your diff.
