Package: liferea Version: 0.9.7b-1 Severity: normal I was working on an RSS feed generator this weekend. The resulting feed had bad XML in it, so liferea couldn't parse it. Two problems:
The buffer for the feed's description is not updated if you click on the feed, then right click and choose update. You have to go to another feed and come back again, then you'll get the red "parse error" box at the top of the description. More importantly, the "show details" link does not show up when using the gtkhtml2 backend. I had to figure out that there was a mozilla backend in a separate package (couldn't see this documented anywhere in the liferea package?), install it, restart liferea, choose mozilla, and restart again. Then the show details link appeared and worked. I'm guessing libgtkhtml2 has some problem with <span>. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.13-rc6 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages liferea depends on: ii dbus-1 0.23.4-6 simple interprocess messaging syst ii dbus-glib-1 0.23.4-6 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libatk1.0-0 1.10.1-2 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.3.5-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgconf2-4 2.10.1-2 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglib2.0-0 2.8.0-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.6.10-1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libice6 6.8.2.dfsg.1-6 Inter-Client Exchange library ii liborbit2 1:2.12.2-3 libraries for ORBit2 - a CORBA ORB ii libpango1.0-0 1.8.2-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libsm6 6.8.2.dfsg.1-6 X Window System Session Management ii libx11-6 6.8.2.dfsg.1-6 X Window System protocol client li ii libxml2 2.6.21-1 GNOME XML library ii liferea-gtkhtml 0.9.7b-1 gtkhtml-based rendering library fo ii liferea-mozilla 0.9.7b-1 mozilla-based rendering library fo ii xlibs 6.8.2.dfsg.1-6 X Window System client libraries m ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-4 compression library - runtime liferea recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
