Hi! This is xine (X11 gui) - a free video player v0.99.3. (c) 2000-2004 The xine Team.
I don't know when exactly this started, but now, when I start xine, without any parameter, it hangs. Sometimes I can click on Done in the dialog box, sometimes I can't. But even if I close the "bar window", by clicking on Quit button inside that "bar window", the main, video, window has to be closed by some kill command, typically -KILL (occasionally, I was able to close it by -TERM). When the dialog box appears, it talks about not being able to play /usr/share/xine/skins/xine-ui_logo.mpv, that there is no plugin for this one. However, starting xine with some MPEG or WMV movie, xine is able to play it including sound and finishes correctly, as long as I quit xine before the end of the video stream. I am assuming that after the stream, xine tries to open the splash screen and that's where it hangs.
